Rosie: “My Weight Loss Secret? I ran…”

April 4th, 2007

Rosie O’Donnell really needs to cut down sharply on her trips to the supermarket. That way, she wouldn’t have two and a half hours during checkout to browse through the tabloids searching for inspiration for the next segment on her bully pulpit, ABC’s the View. Many of the accusations she has leveled in recent weeks are so bizarre, they aren’t even worthy of tabloid coverage.

Co-hosted by Barbara Walters, a 247 year old washed-up journalist who has had so many face lifts she has not just defied, but indeed defeated gravity; Joy Behar, a teacher who gave up an honorable profession to become an obnoxious comedienne (a joke all by itself); and Elisabeth Hasselbeck who became famous for -of all things- getting kicked off of Survivor Island, it is no small wonder that the plug hasn’t been pulled on this garbage yet.

It’s interesting to note that mainstream media rejects this very column constantly. Apparently, they feel that my opinions – while shared by millions of Americans- aren’t worthy of publication because I occasionally roast a hypocrite in a not so polite manner. Yet O’Donnell is given a camera, an audience and allowed to parrot ridiculous and indefensible conspiracy theories about 9/11 and the World Trade Center Towers being brought down by explosives on President Bush’s orders.

The View is not a talk show. It has been turned into O’Donnell’s personal bully pulpit. While she sits there and spews enemy propaganda from that enormous hole in her face, the other three dingbats just nod in agreement. Hasselbeck is supposed to be the “token conservative”. Her job is to provide some supposed “balance” to the show. When O’Donnell stated on air recently that “nearly every nearly one in this Administration… was under indictment or suspicion”, Hasselbeck simply nodded her head in agreement and said “It’s a time for interrogation. (Sic)

Somebody please tell me what qualifies a then-28 year-old footwear designer-turned reality TV reject from rendering a political opinion on any subject? We hold hearings for politicians. Interrogations are reserved for our enemies…

Of the four, the only one even qualified to discuss any sort of foreign policy position with any credibility whatsoever is Barbara Walters. But her journalistic credibility is disappearing like so many Krispy Kreme’s ™ down Rosie O’Donnell’s esophagus. These days, Walters is more interested in interviewing our enemies such as Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez. The other three - two failed comediennes and a loser (literally) on a reality television show are in so far over their heads, the former just sit there lobbing baseless, radioactive charges to thunderous applause, while Hasselbeck is unable to get a word in edgewise. And when she does, O’Donnell tells her to shut up.

On a recent show, O’Donnell essentially sided with Iran, questioning rhetorically that if the kidnapping of 15 members of the British Royal Navy was “aggression” on Iran’s part, why would they claim publicly they wouldn’t harm the British ?[1] Notwithstanding the fact that this statement -in and of itself- should demonstrate the depth of O’Donnell’s ignorance, what has taken place with the treatment of the Brits, is that their rights under the Geneva Conventions have been thus far repeatedly violated by parading them in front of cameras and coercing confessions out of them. Apparently a blatant kidnapping, which is an act of terrorism, isn’t aggressive enough. Rosie O’ Donnell needs to see British blood to be convinced of Iran’s intent.

Tell ABC to cancel this garbage.

Send an email to one or more of The View’s co-hosts and tell them what you think of their antics.

1. As reported on Fox News’ “The Big Story With John Gibson” March 30, 2007

Author’s Note: It is apparent that anyone can make outrageous claims. I submit to you that my claims regarding Rosie O’ Donnell’s weight, Barbara Walters’ age or Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s inexperience are far more supportable than O’Donnell’s coddling of Iran’s dictator Mahmoud Ahmedinejad. Also interesting to note on The View home page is the lack of email address for Rosie O’ Donnell. All three co-hosts have email links, why not Rosie?
