CAIR Savages The First Amendment
And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers. Together, the 1st and 2nd Amendments make up the last line of defense between the American people and tyranny, whether it be the tyranny of foreign invaders, international and homegrown terrorists, or our own federal government. By calling for irrevocable freedom of expression in the very 1st amendment, The Founders obviously made clear that they held the free exchange of information in highest esteem.
Americans recognize there are many forms of expression such as MoveOn.org hit pieces in the New York Times, KKK rallies, gay pride parades and myriad other ways to exercise free speech that we may not necessarily agree with, but we take the good with the bad and tolerate even the outlandish, as long as nobody slanders, advocates violence or gets hurt.
Without unhindered freedom of expression, there can be no criticism. Of anybody. Many forms of art; talk radio; political satire, parody and other types of comedy; graphic forms of political or social protest; all would be threatened without an intact 1st Amendment. But this cherished freedom has recently come under withering attack by the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).
CAIR bills itself as an organization to promote greater understanding of Muslims and their culture among Americans. But in reality, they are simply part of the jihad against the United States with extensive ties to terrorist suspects, most notably Nihad Awad and Abdurahman Alamoudi.
CAIR’s Minister of Propaganda (or Communications Director as he refers to himself) Ibrahim Hooper, has previously expressed his sincere desire to see America become a Muslim country, the western anchor of the New Muslim Caliphate. CAIR is the Muslim equivalent of LULAC; an organization of enemy agents posing as a nonprofit and intent on bringing about the destruction of the US through a tidal wave of concocted civil rights litigation.
CAIR recently pilfered a sound bite of Michael’s Savage’s wildly popular nationally syndicated radio show The Savage Nation and posted it on their website with an action alert urging their followers to pressure advertisers to drop their sponsorship of the show. CAIR cited what they called inflammatory statements made by Mr. Savage with respect to Islam, Muslims, the Qur’an and CAIR. I submit to you that after listening to the Savage Nation since 1997, studying Qur’anic verse since 2001 and hearing Michael’s recent commentary on the Religion of Peace, I must say I fully agree with him, from the depth of my infidel loins.
It is absolutely undeniable. It is there in black and white for anyone who cares to study the Qur’an for themselves. The religion of Islam is one of domination. The word itself means “submission”. It relegates a woman’s status as roughly half that of a man. It dictates how to live, what to wear, how to greet, how to kill, how to pray, what to eat, how to wash, how to wipe. The Qur’an is chock full of orders to kill the unbelievers. There are a few admonitions that you shouldn’t kill, but mostly in reference to other Muslims. To be sure, the Old Testament also has references to smiting one’s enemies and those sort of generalizations, but nothing as specific as in the Qur’an and nowhere near as numerous. And those Bible passages that do refer to killing are not used by today’s Christians as a moral justification for cutting people’s heads off across the globe.
The Savage Nation has lost roughly 1 million dollars in advertising revenue as a result of being boycotted for exercising freedom of speech. In response, Michael has brought a suit against CAIR for copyright infringement, which should be an open-and-shut case.
The tactics used in this case to silence someone whose message you disagree with should send a chill down the spine of all Americans. CAIR’s rationale for destroying a man’s career is they didn’t agree with him. They can turn it off. They can debate the merits of their religion on Michael’s show. They can issue a PSA or even purchase air time to counter his message. There are countless avenues for dealing with messages you don’t agree with. But CAIR chose the most un-American path possible, They chose to try and suppress it.
And they wonder why there’s so much hostility…
