If we as human beings ever intend to carry on a rational discourse about any topic, it is absolutely imperative that people on both sides of the argument employ common sense. There’s no point in two people with opposing viewpoints who are debating the substantive issues of the day comparing apples to oranges. In fact, when either of them does so, it is an intellectually dishonest move and an exercise in futility.

When discussing war, for example; The “war on drugs” isn’t really a war. Neither is the “war on poverty.” The US military isn’t burning South American coca fields and toppling their tenuous dictatorships or bringing aid on the backs of M1-Abrams tanks to African nations wallowing in the filth of poverty. The ACLU threatens our survival.

Two of the most shameful lies the ACLU has ever perpetrated on the American people are that they are interested in American civil liberties, and that the Constitution calls for the Separation of Church and State.

I challenge anyone to show me where in the Constitution the words “Separation of Church and State” can be found.

The reference to religion the ACLU refers to is in the Bill Of Rights, and what it actually says is: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ” .

It doesn’t say “Except in public schools or courthouses or other public places”.

Nor does it mention anything about not being offensive to atheists or miscreants who won’t respect our colors or religious heritage. If anything, it’s completely ambivalent on the subject of religious expression.

The ACLU has consistently held the position that the Constitution should keep the most liberal interpretation, meaning essentially that it permits most anything not actually prohibited by law. Except of course when it comes to Christian prayer. Muslims are free to pray in America anytime or anywhwere they please.

You have to ask yourself why?

The ACLU was co-founded by Roger Baldwin, a pacifist and Communist sympathizer, Crystal Eastman, a radical militant feminist and other goofball socialist characters with no interest whatsoever in protecting the American way of life.

I submit to you, it is still their profound wish to destroy it so they can remake it in their gender neutral, socioeconomically equal, militarily neutered, Communist Ideal. They want to take away our heritage, rewrite history and turn us into nothing more than a bunch of pacifist, weaponless, Godless, emasculated sheep, sucking on the teat of Communism.

In conclusion:

The US Senate is working overtime to obliterate the US borders and attack our own socioeconomic infrastructure by flooding it with hundreds millions of illegal aliens over the next few decades, many of whom have the stated goal of overthrowing the US Southwest and returning it to Mexico through the US political process and electing of US candidates who support their ideals;

The ACLU, Human Rights attorneys, the Supreme Court and the Democratic party are dead set on ensuring that terrorists have more protections that we do in fighting them;

And the American leadership –not the military– lacks a fundamental understanding of the mindset of our enemy. The mindset of a bully. The mindset of a terrorist intent on sowing fear and panic by sinking to new lows each week in terms of how they use a civilized nation’s laws, freedoms, customs and technology against it.

The mindset of people who are so brainwashed that they gleefully blow themselves up, not as an anomaly to win or end a conflict, but as a military doctrine and a rule of engagement to fight it.

We are constantly one step behind these people. We are perpetually reactive, instead of proactive. You can’t win anything that way. Winning requires initiative and guts, two qualities that the Bush Administration is sorely lacking.

Combine the internal problems of the US, the Iraq war mess, the stalemate in Afghanistan, the other two tentacles of the Axis of Evil -Iran and North Korea- the latter whom launched 7 missiles to mark our Independence and the declaration of all out war by Hezbollah in the Middle East and President Bush is in it way over his head.

The US Congress continues to show both it’s disdain for the average American, and how truly detached and isolated from you and I they really are. Like aliens from another planet…

First, Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), son of Senator Edward Kennedy, pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced to treatment, 1 year probation, $350.00 in fines, 50 hours of community service, suspension of driving privileges for 6 months, and a suspended 10 day jail sentence - meaning no jail unless he violates the terms of his probation.

D.C. Attorney General Robert Spagnoletti said Kennedy “…has been treated like any other citizen found guilty of driving under the influence.”

That’s funny; police already admitted that they gave him treatment that was different than everyone else. There was no field sobriety tests of any sort conducted and Kennedy was taken home by police after their superiors were summoned to the scene.

Any other “citizen” would have been given the test; and if they refused, it would be administered…

And they would restrain that person, and do it by force if necessary…

After their vehicle was impounded, resulting in several hundred dollars in fines to get it back…

Then they would have been jailed, humiliated, probably lose their job and had to pay thousands in lawyer’s fees and fines.

If there is anyone other than the son of a sitting Senator out there that has ever been chauffeured home by the police after a DUI vehicle crash, I would love hear from you.

Congress accepted a cost of living increase to raise their annual salaries up to 168,500.00. My wages have decreased 55% over the last 3 years. What about yours?

In 1989, Congress enshrined into law annual COLA increases that were automatic unless they were blocked. To his credit, Jim Matheson (D-UT) attempted to restore a patina of ethics to the process by trying to get a recorded vote on the COLA. Needless to say, it was soundly defeated.

A big Brontosaurus bone of contention I have with the politicians in this country is that they have a system where many times their votes are never recorded.

Or they abstain.

Or they vote “present” instead of yea or nay.

Or they don’t vote at all when they feel their colleagues votes are enough to do the job, so it’s not their neck on the voter’s chopping block back home.

Or worst of all, even have the audacity to have a vote not to have a vote on something.

Every person in this country should demand from their politicians RECORDED VOTES on EVERYTHING, except that which would compromise national security. That’s what you sent them there for.

How can you make informed decisions about the people you choose to lead you if there’s no record of where they stand on controversial issues? They are using this as political cover; a back door tactic to avoid having their feet held to the fire for their vote for or against an issue.

Whatever your political persuasion, it makes no difference, we’re all in this together

The whole purpose for the creation and continuing existence of War Of Wits is to reemphasize the truth for Americans, and to shed light upon the real dangers facing the United States.

The true motives of international terrorist groups.

The constraints that a two-party political system unnecessarily imposes on the US.

The true dangers of political correctness. The damage being done by instructing you not to be judgmental. By allowing ANYONE to label a group, such as the Minutemen -who represent the wishes of millions and are doing what government paralysis cannot do- as vigilantes, racists, or political grandstanders.

The extent of the media bias and outright manipulation that keeps them in the dark about what is truly going on in their government. Nobody cares about the foreign policy opinions of U2’s Bono, or gasbags like George Clooney, Jane Fonda, Tom Cruise, Barbara Streisand, Natalie Maines, Michael Moore, or any other so-called celebrity. We care about the crime in our neighborhoods, the politicians running the country into the gutter, and the internal and external threats. Hollywood celebrities make a killing pretending to be something they’re not. Why on earth would I listen to them?

The lack of imagination, greed, ineptitude, over-inflated egos and sense of entitlement; The utter indifference of the politicians who are selling us down the river. By passing treasonous immigration legislation that drastically affects the entire US infrastructure, quality and way of life. By not respecting the constitutional framework and the concept of state’s rights. By not embracing constructive criticism, and not listening, or being responsive to the needs and desires of the constituents they represent.

The attorneys who have created a culture, where multi-million, or even billion dollar lawsuits, for the smallest of slights is not the exception, but now sadly the rule.

The pedophiles who are trying to recruit and corrupt the nations children, by pushing sex and acceptance of so-called “alternative lifestyles” on children as young as 5 to 8 years old.

The true motives of the illegal aliens, who violate our border, vandalize private property, stress our hospital system, steal our social security numbers, falsify driver’s license and employment applications, steal jobs and social services, depress wages, and then due to some sick sense of entitlement, along with their cohorts who are legal immigrants, march through the streets proclaiming no one is illegal, the border violates them, that they have the “right” to be here. Some of these so-called protesters even had the juevos to carry my flag upside down and spit on anyone who dared to show up to their protest and disagree.

The real danger of the ACLU, who is hell-bent on removing every trace of Judeo-Christian tradition, every depiction, thought, or utterance of God from, not just the public square, but from the public view, the public’s heart, mind, and lips as well.

We will explore all of these topics in the coming weeks. I hope you come away with a new appreciation for the place of the United States on the world stage, and understand that if the US goes down the toilet, the rest of the world is sure to follow.

On this Memorial Day, I would ask that you keep the nation’s veterans, as well as their families in your heart, especially the ones who have made the ultimate sacrifice. It is only through their bloodshed that we are all able to speak freely and voice our opinions.
