(An Open Letter To Jack “Cold-Blooded” Murtha)
Congressman Murtha,
Were I you sir, I would hang my head in shame and pray to my Creator, begging His forgiveness for the pain that I’ve caused innocent people. And then I would perform some serious personal introspection to see what I could possibly do to begin the process of restitution for my crimes.
But you won’t because you have no shame. (more…)

Warning: Contains coarse language.
The military has long recognized that when the unwelcome stench of undue command influence begins to waft through the halls of justice, you’d better hold your nose, because bad things are about to happen. That is why they have regulations in place to seek out and eradicate the influence of commanders on the military judicial process. Unlawful command influence has been called “the mortal enemy of military justice” and for good reason. In this particular case, the ones wielding that illegal influence are figuratively fragging Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani. (more…)

On June 4th, 2008, yet another ace was yanked from the house of cards that laid foundation of the government’s case against eight Marines for their actions relating to a terrorist ambush in Haditha, Iraq in November of 2005.
Although that deck was completely stacked against them and reshuffled repeatedly, five of eight Marines have had their charges dismissed and First Lieutenant Andrew Grayson has faced court martial and was rightly found not guilty on all counts. (more…)

“An Army is a team; lives, sleeps, eats, fights as a team. This individual heroic stuff is a lot of crap.” - General George S. Patton
Barack Obama should really check his ego at the door. In recent days he has assumed regal airs and it isn’t very Presidential. The fat lady has yet to begin warming up, but Obama has already completed his victory lap. Although it appears he will –in all likelihood– get the Democratic nomination, there is no excuse for him to get cocky. His continuing problems connecting with white, middle-class voters expose a huge vulnerability, despite what the media and “superdelgates” (or the Democrat political leadership) say. The reasons he can’t connect in the primaries are the same reasons he’ll face trouble in the General Election; his inexperience, extreme liberal views and refusal to answer tough questions dealing with either of those two subjects. Ever since the Iraq war began, politicians and media elites have been using the health care of returning veterans as a campaign issue; a political football to be kicked around and fought over. And ever since those first Iraq veterans began returning from battle, those same politicians and media elites have been sounding the alarm about the horrendous care our veterans have received at the hands of the military health care system and V.A.
I, for one, am sick of the lies. I know they’re lies. I am as familiar with navigating the military’s medical review process as any. I spent 6 months and endured 4 major surgeries at military facilities on the west coast. I was treated by some of the most compassionate, dedicated and experienced doctors, surgeons, nurses that this country has to offer. I also witnessed this superior level of care extended to all military personnel on a daily basis. I saw sight restored to badly lacerated, blind eyes. I saw lumps of flesh that passed for burned off ears that were completely reconstructed from the patient’s own body parts. I saw the crushed, the impaled and the burned pieced back together and healed.

“Now, the implications from the outside are obvious. If I see God as male, if I see God as white male, if I see God as superior, as God over us and not Immanuel, which means “God with us,” if I see God as mean, vengeful, authoritarian, sexist, or misogynist, then I see humans through that lens. My theological lens shapes my anthropological lens. And as a result, white males are superior; all others are inferior. And I order my society where I can worship God on Sunday morning wearing a black clergy robe and kill others on Sunday evening wearing a white Klan robe. I can have laws which favor whites over blacks in America or South Africa. I can construct a theology of apartheid in the Africana church (ph) and a theology of white supremacy in the North American or Germanic church. “ - Rev. Jeremiah Wright at the National Press Club 4/28/08
In case you missed the first round of endless excerpts from “The Best of Rev. Jeremiah Wright”, we were blessed again last week with the inspirational and uplifting rhetoric of Barack Obama’s former pastor. Having finally emerged from the sewer, Wright confirmed his depravity in front of the National Press Club by essentially restating his cockamamie theories about government culpability for AIDS and alleged US terrorism. “I would rather be tried by a jury of my peers than be carried by six of my friends in a casket.” - Justin Sharratt
Michelle Obama recently said that for the first time in her adult life, she was proud of her country. While I unequivocally disagree; while I have found many occasions in my adult life to be proud of my country, I can emphatically say that this is not one of them. As a matter of fact; for the first time in my adult life, I am unabashedly ashamed of my country. Ashamed that our Commander-In-Chief would order Marines from Lt. Col Jeffrey Chessani’s 3rd Battalion to battle terrorists in Iraq only to turn his back and hold his nose while these brave men, who should be held aloft on our shoulders and celebrated, are viciously and selectively prosecuted. It is nauseating, this wretched betrayal. (more…)

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a 3 strikes law and then wants us to sing God Bless America… No, no, no! Not God Bless America, God Damn America! That’s in the Bible.” - Barack Obama’s former Pastor and long-time spiritual advisor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright on white oppression in America.
There’s an old saying: “If you lie down with dogs, you’re gonna get fleas.”
And presidential hopeful Barack Obama is evidently beginning to scratch. The mainstream media is finally beginning to do their job, subjecting his background to a minimum level of scrutiny. What was uncovered last week was ugly. It raises serious questions about Obama’s beliefs, his judgment, his background and his ability to unite a polarized country to bring about the change he so vigorously champions.

The New York Times; The Paper of Record; The home of all the news that’s fit to print has finally executed the ambush of John McCain that they have been planning for months.
Last Thursday’s hit piece, entitled “For McCain, Self-Confidence on Ethics Poses Its Own Risk” was long on rehashing decades-old charges of corruption and ties to Charles Keating, while devoid of all but insinuation and innuendo when it comes to the article’s substantive charge of a McCain affair with 40 year-old telecommunications lobbyist Linda Iseman. “Until they come to grips with how long and frequent deployments are straining soldiers and shattering lives we will continue to see this frightening trend” - Lie of the week from Senator Patty Murray (D-WA)
The mainstream media’s propaganda war against the US military continues…
For years, the alphabet news networks, the New York Times, the AP and Reuters have been steadily beating the drum of defeat - spewing enemy propaganda and generally doing everything in their power to sap support at home for our military efforts abroad.
A few weeks ago, I published a piece on the New York Times’ fascination with military murders. Last week an AP writer had a fetish with military suicides. At some point, one has to ask why they’re so agog over the deaths of US military members? (more…)

With success taking shape in Iraq, liberal journalists don’t have much to talk about. Unable to impugn the reputation of the military on the battlefield, the New York Times has again resorted to the character assassination of our armed forces here at home.
Both Iraq and Afghanistan have seen Americans awarded the Medal of Honor. There have been stories of selfless sacrifice; of Navy SEaLs exposing themselves to direct enemy fire to radio help for their team or Marines who instinctively hurl themselves on enemy grenades without hesitation. There have been missions where US Army soldiers were compromised by civilians, their missions ending with dead teammates because rather than neutralizing these threats, which would both assure mission secrecy and be well within their rules of engagement, these gallant US soldiers chose to let them live.
But if you believe The New York Times’ Deborah Sontag and Lizette Alvarez, the US military is nothing more than a ragtag collection of drunkards, wife beaters, drug abusers, criminals and murderers. (more…)

“The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”
Democrats continue to choose treachery over patriotism, siding with our enemies while ignoring the realities on the ground in Iraq as well as throughout the rest of the world.
While there is now some Democrat infighting over MoveOn.org’s recent character assassination of 4-Star US Army General David Petraeus (and rightfully so), there is no public Democratic Party disavowal of the attack on this American patriot. As a result, there is increasing outrage among military families and average Americans over these horrendous tactics designed specifically to divide the country. The only 2 conclusions one can draw from Democratic silence over MoveOn.org’s cheap shot courtesy of the New York Times are either political cowardice or outright approval.

Hokie - “a word that people used to express feeling, approval, excitement, surprise” - Johann Norstedt - Retired VA Tech English Professor
Once again, a suicidal maniac hell-bent on exacting as much revenge as possible has struck one of the nation’s schools, this time a world-class university. But as information about the shootings, suspect and victims arrived at news desks in drips and drabs, the over-the-top coverage of the incident by the mainstream media wasn’t very helpful. In fact, the sensationalism with which NBC, Fox News, and others covered this nightmare did nothing except feed disinformation and rampant speculation.
On the April 16th morning broadcast of Fox News Live, within hours of the conclusion of the massacre, Fox contributor and former D.C. Homicide Detective Rod Wheeler was asked about the possibility that an M-16 may have been this shooter’s weapon of choice. It is unclear -and may never be known- whether a witness reported an M-16, whether a witness assumed that an M-16 was involved due to the volume of fire, or exactly where Fox obtained this information. If you’ll remember the Beltway sniper incident which turned out to be the work of John Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo, initial speculation in the media was that a military-trained sniper was likely involved. Similarly, the immediate focus of the media speculators once again fell on a member of our armed forces in Blacksburg. Mr. Wheeler wondered aloud on camera what the shooter’s affiliation to the military might have been, as M-16s were not exactly easy to come by.

“Oh, Oh, its answer is an AK-47″ - Al Aqsa Television 4/16/2007
When the Palestinian people held free and fair elections and Hamas was handed the reigns of power back in early 2006, the conventional wisdom was that radical elements within the various Palestinian factions would be neutralized or at least tempered if they were given a stake in their own future. Despite a staunch refusal to renounce violence and continuing calls for the destruction of Israel by the Palestinians, many in the international community lent their full support to the fledgling government.
After the elections, when it became clear that Hamas was still beholden to the annihilation of the Jews, Israel, the United States and Canada among others swiftly cut off foreign aid, in effect levying sanctions against the Palestinian government. But as we’ve seen time and time again in Iraq, Iran, North Korea and many others, sanctions themselves do not work and in reality have the opposite effect, hardening the resolve of those living under them. It has long been alleged by conservatives that there is a liberal bias to the media. It has also been alleged by liberals -although with much less to support the allegations- that there is a conservative bias to the media. In an effort to determine in which direction the scales of bias tilt, let’s examine some of the documentary evidence in support of the argument of liberal bias. Below are just a few of the more recent, notable examples.
