Two hundred thirty-three years ago, a ragtag group of brave patriots fought for and won our independence from the British crown. And once they had secured their freedom, they carefully established a system of government with checks and balances to ensure that centralized tyranny could never again establish a foothold in their country. And until recently, it worked quite well. But, those checks and balances are disappearing at an alarming rate, and along with them, go many of our freedoms.

Barack Obama’s first 100 days just flu by, didn’t they? The outrage over so-called “retention” bonuses handed out to employees at AIG (whom Democrats always mislabel as “executives”) has been building for a week, but we’ve yet to uncover the truth about who knew what and when they knew it.
