The Slow But Steady March

Environment, Illegal Immigration, Political Correctness, Politics, Society/Culture, Terrorism, economy

Every four years, we put a new tenant in the White House, hoping beyond hope that perhaps things will be different. But things are never different. If we are to have true change in Washington, we must also sweep Congress clean, purging the Capitol of the foul stench of pork and uselessness that’s wafted through there for the last 40 years. Fortunately, this year, all 435 House seats and half of the Senate’s 100 seats are up for grabs. If we start now, we can finish the job by 2010.

Misdirected Energy

Environment, Political Correctness, Politics, Society/Culture, economy

While the screws are put to average American in the form of taxpayer bailouts of self-serving, greedy financial interests the government deems too important to let collapse or soaring fuel and food costs, both the Bush Administration and the 110th Congress continue to fiddle while Rome burns.

They pass everything from token measures such as Bush’s economic stimulus package to Congress’ pet mortgage reform, to Nancy Pelosi’s behemoth “comprehensive” energy bill - using economic, environmental and cultural socialism to deal with America’s ills. But the reality is that these measures taken by our leadership on both sides of the aisle are anything but helpful. In fact they are quite damaging.

‘Twas The Night Before Christmas

Politics

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the House
“Not a Congressman toils…” the people did grouse.
The legislation lay there in a magnificent pile,
while the Democrats bleat “It’s George Bush I revile…”

Led by Queen Nancy with Clyburn the Whip
keeping tabs on the faithful should one of them slip
and vote with Republicans on immigration or war
why, the Queen and her Whip would settle the score.

Dems Go Cold Turkey, Await Bush Withdrawals

Military/War, Politics, Terrorism

Having failed miserably to force a US retreat in Iraq, House Democrats and their skittish Republican counterparts have now resorted to asymmetrical political warfare against President Bush, his administration and US military personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan.

About 70% of all supplies supporting current US combat operations flow through Turkey. Its strategic location has made the air base at Incirlik a vital lifeline to the US military. It doesn’t take a legal scholar to articulate the implications to Iraq or Afghanistan if Turkey denied access to Incirlik. On October 10, 2007, over the objections of the Bush Administration, the House Foreign Affairs Committee approved a non-binding resolution that Chairman Tom Lantos and Speaker Nancy Pelosi insist merely acknowledges that the forced expulsions and murders of 1.5 million Armenians by the Ottoman Empire in the early 1900’s were genocide. This resolution has surfaced regularly for years. Even Bill Clinton believed so strongly in the present-day foreign policy damage it would cause, that he urged Congress to withdraw the measure. Yet many in both parties still support it.

Nappy-Headed (Ho)use Speaker Disses Bush, Raps With Gangsta

Military/War, Politics, Terrorism

The self-proclaimed Most Powerful Woman in America, The Imperial Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is a clear and present danger to this country. Let’s begin just prior to when Pelosi took the reigns, just before the drubbing of the GOP. Back in November 2006, just prior to the mid-term election that swept her into power and playing to her home crowd in an SFGate article, Pelosi questioned whether the Iraq Study Group could come up with any proposal that would be different than what Bush was suggesting. One of the Study Group’s primary recommendations was to make diplomatic overtures to Iran and Syria. Now here she is only a few months later, hypocritically snubbing the President for not following the ISG’s counsel and usurping the role of the Secretary of State, while taking credit for implementing recommendations in the report she openly criticized before it was even published.

Liberal Licentiousness

Military/War, Political Correctness, Politics, Terrorism

Licentiousness - lI-’sen(t)-sh&s-n&s - 1. Lacking legal or moral restraints. 2. Disregarding sexual restraints. 3. Marked by disregard for strict rules of correctness. ©2006-2007 Merriam Webster Inc.

The liberal mind is infected… Diseased.

The disease places the victim in a persistent vegetative state with no cerebral centers of judgment or restraint and presents as a chronic inability to visualize the long-term consequences of one’s actions. Although I am a political independent, the main reasons that I never trust a liberal are their moral bankruptcy and licentiousness, their complete absence of logic and their tendency to willingly contribute to their own demise if it will bring their utopian ideals of social justice and the redistribution of American wealth to fruition.

Leggo That Ego

Military/War, Politics, Terrorism

It’s been a little over a week since Nancy Pelosi became the self-anointed most powerful woman in America and already the bile is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. So much so, that it will eventually cause my teeth to rot, if not neutralized forthwith.

Her protestations were shameful and indicative of the immaturity to which liberal Democrats approach all matters of grave consequence. Last November, Pelosi was oozing bipartisanship, pledging to work with Republicans to repair America’s trust. But those pledges were made with crossed fingers and pursed lips. Even before Pelosi was voted Speaker, the House Democratic leadership publicly stated on numerous occasions that in the days to come, the Democrats would not allow any Republican amendments on the first series of bills they would put forth concerning what was to be the substance of their domestic agenda.
