“If the exigencies of my country demand a peculiar service, its claim to perform that service are imperious.”- Nathan Hale.
I guess the US school system is so busy handing out Viagra to five-year-old children and teaching them tolerance that they no longer have time to teach history. Here’s a lesson: Unlike the tax evasion and voter intimidation practiced by Democrats of late, Treason, specifically, giving aid and comfort to America’s enemies through one’s words or actions, is one of the most serious felonies an American citizen can commit. During time of war, it is punishable by death. Read More »

After spending an entire week poring over a few thousand of the so-called “Afghan War Logs”, more than 75,000 incident reports from the Afghanistan war allegedly leaked by a US soldier to left-leaning WikiLeaks, one thing is clear. While the disclosure of this information may not put American or coalition forces in (even more) imminent danger, it will result in even more innocents killed and it does further complicate our mission in Afghanistan in a number of ways. Ever since Bill Clinton first tried to force the military to allow openly-gay service, many gays and their advocates have argued that they simply want to serve their country; that the issue isn’t about their sexuality, choice of lifestyle or sex, but fundamental fairness. Notwithstanding the fact that gays are currently not prohibited from military service, after analyzing what Congress is attempting to write into law, it appears that the decision to allow them to do so openly is indeed all about sex. oreilly@foxnews.com

Lakin, whom we both recall refused orders to deploy to Afghanistan, cited lingering doubts over the constitutionality of Barack Obama’s presidency and by extension, the legality of his orders to deploy. Before we get started, a word of advice: You should really skip the “Humble Correspondent” bit, your ego is enormous and dwarfed only by Obama’s. Read More »

“Our past experience as military leaders leads us to be greatly concerned about the impact of repeal [of the law] on morale, discipline, unit cohesion, and overall military readiness. We believe that imposing this burden on our men and women in uniform would undermine recruiting and retention, impact leadership at all levels, have adverse effects on the willingness of parents who lend their sons and daughters to military service, and eventually break the All-Volunteer Force.” - Statement in support of retaining the current law signed by over 1,000 retired flag and general officers.
While the entire country remains distracted over the long-overdue finale to the ObamaCare debate, the Obama Administration and Progressive Democrats are already moving full-speed ahead with efforts to further transform the United States by doing everything in its power to hobble our defense capabilities by allowing openly-gay people to serve in the nation’s armed forces. Despite the hurt feelings and emotional arguments of those intent on socially-engineering alleged “equality” into the ranks, there are literally a thousand reasons I can think of why this is an extremely bad idea.
